Katie Holmes’ oversized Hermes purse.

Katie Holmes was identified by the source as carrying a Hermes handbag. The writer cheekily called it a purse. If you check out the official Hermes website, its handbags were displayed as part of cartoon drawings. It used the fact that the bag was large. The bag was made to become the body of the figure.
Hermes used the woman, man and girl figures to suggest that the bag was unisex and multi-generational. It could be used by the young girl too. The webpage that displayed these figures is here.
Do you know why the Hermes handbag was so large? Hermes called it the “garden party handbag.” I suppose the carrier was supposed to sneak in some food for the pot luck garden party. It would be too expensive to use as a regular grocery carrier.
