Patients who seek consultations on cosmetic surgery are often subjected to lies and hard sell techniques. The plastic surgery clinic staff (patient coordinator) that persuade and take payment for surgeries often have targets to meet for their sales quota each month. They conveniently put aside moral scruples and fall prey to the high pressure to recruit patients and get money.
Emma, an ex-patient coordinator, has told her story to the press. She confessed that she quit her job because she was uncomfortable with the tactics used. She had a target of getting at least £60,000 for her first month at work. She had to get a deposit from every client that walked into the doctor’s medical practice.
This should be fair warning to anybody who is thinking of getting a consultation for cosmetic surgery.
