Katie Holmes has been photographed using a Birkin bag. Posh Spice was rumored to own many Birkin bags in all the colors. Katie could have been influenced by her friend’s taste in Birkins.

The Brikin bag was named after British singer-actress, Jane Birkin. It was designed after Jane had a talk with Hermès CEO Jean-Louis Dumas in 1984. She wanted a good, fashionable bag for containing her weekend essentials.

The Birkin bag was a high fashion luxury icon. It had been used as a prop in many popular TV shows like Will & Grace, Gilmore Girls, The Sopranos and Sex and the City.

The Birkin bag costs a minimum of USD $7500. The bag was so exclusive that usually, a customer had to wait a minimum of 2 years before the delivery of the bag!
