Kylie Minogue colorful dress

What do you think of Kylie Minogue’s colorful dress? She wore that to the NRJ awards in Cannes. It was skin-tight, exposed bare shoulders and bare back, and had a sexy tail to swish around. The critic who hated her dress said that the black bow on the back was like a black trash bin liner dress train. Kylie did her best to look elegant with hair pulled back in a chignon.

Uma Thurman

The Look: Pin-up girls of the Fifties were known for cheesecake poses and red lipstick. But Uma Thurman recently redefined the term. By masterfully pinning twisted pieces of hair all over the head, you can recreate her glamorous, tamed-Medusa hair. This look should take center stage, so keep makeup neutral and minimal.

The Trick: Want to save time? Twist and pin pieces at the hairline, and pull hair back into a bun.

Pamela Anderson

We have had Pamela Anderson as worst dressed before (most recent wedding dress), which we will try not to ponder on for too long. But now Pamela is back and looks broken in this photo.

Gwen Stefani’s favorite nail polish.

Posted on January 26, 2008

 Gwen Stefani

Gwen Stefani was rumored to like Barry M’s matte grey nail polish. The way to get the look would be to keep nails short and apply 1 coat of nail polish. When that layer has dried, a second coat may be applied on top.

Grey was a good color to match and mix with the wardrobe. It was neutral and better than silver. Grey would go with office, casual and party wear. This reduced the necessity of having to change the color of the nails to complement different wardrobe changes.

Whenever nail polish remover was applied to the nail, it removed the polish and also thinned the nail. Excessive use of polish remover would damage the nails and leave them soft and brittle. It would be a good idea to use one color of nail polish and stretch it until the next removal and application.
