Tyra Banks is branching out! The Top Model maven has signed a deal with The CW to create another reality show. Described as The Devil Wears Prada meets The Apprentice, the show is “a competition show about aspiring assistants looking to become assistant editors at a fashion magazine,” producer Ken Mok (who also producers America’s Next Top Model) tells Page Six. The prize? A to-be named job in the fashion industry.
During each eppie of the show, contestants will have to create a page for “The Book” (that’s journalism-speak for a mock-up of the mag’s next issue), with the losing team having to axe one of its own. (No challenges of scoring a copy of an unpublished children’s novel? No hot Adrian Grenier-looking BF? Sigh!)
The series is still looking for a high-fashion mag to call home, but expect it to hit the airwaves this spring as a companion piece to Top Model cycle 11.
