eco-underwear

Exciting eco-underwear made out of wood will be making an impact in the consumer market soon. The cloth was made by having the fibers extracted from branches before spinning them into fabric. The material was as soft as silk. The manufactured fabric had dozens more microscopic holes than polyester. More air could circulate and this would make the underwear more hygienic. Natural wood fibers absorbed twice the quantity of humidity than cotton. This would prevent bacteria from multiplying.

In keeping with the concept of being eco-friendly, the lingerie would be colored in non-toxic and eco-friendly dyes.

This clothing was designed by designer, Sophie Young, after her child suffered an allergic reaction to clothing that had dyes, chemical products and pesticides. Wood fiber clothing can be machine washed but not tumble dried.
