Trends: Wedding dresses for pregnant brides.

There are more pregnancies being conceived outside marriage than after marriage so the fashion designers have decided to fill this niche market. One such company is “Expectant Bride.” It offers consultants to expecting brides.

These wedding gown designers have estimations on the size of the growing baby bump on the date of the wedding. The wedding dress will be sewn with allowances in the front so that the material is not stretched up by the bump. The sides of the dress are hand hemmed to allow for alterations just before the actual date. The gown is usually pulled tight at the back with a comely bow to give shape to the figure.
