Celebrity Homes: Sting & Trudie Styler’s new penthouse.

Sting bought a new New York apartment at $26.5 million. It had 5 bedrooms and a terrace. The luxury penthouse was located at the 16^th level of a duplex at Central Park West, NY.

Sting made his purchase under his real name, Gordon Sumner. He and his wife, Trudie Styler, would make plans to move into his new home soon. His neighbors included leading financial icons and other celebrities.

Sting’s building had 43 levels and it was designed by the architect Robert A.M. Stern. The standard features included herringbone flooring, Vermont marble countertops, 6-burner Thermador ranges, heated bathroom floors and an indoor swimming pool.

A penthouse in the block would sell at $6000 per square foot. There are 24 studios and 1-bedroom apartments to house the maids, butlers and cooks.
