Madonna’s business-like style.

Madonna wore a high necked secretary dress to the Cannes Film Festival. Her husband, Guy Ritchie, was similarly dressed in formal attire. He had his bow tie and tuxedo ballroom suit.
Madonna’s dress was clearly a party dress and its oversized ribbon-like bow drew attention to the neck.
One plausible reason for Madonna looking so business like was because she wanted to show her serious side. This was the film festival that would make or break her documentary on Malawi. The film was entitled, “I Am Because We Are.”
The director was Nathan Rissman, who had previously worked as their gardener and childminder for their children. It was a controversial choice.
