Trend 911 Alert: R.I.P Bernie Mac

Bernie Mac dies at age 50.

Bernie Mac died early saturday in a Chicago hospital, the Northwestern Hospital from complications of pneumonia. He has been in the hospital for weeks know due to the pneumonia.

A few years ago, Mac disclosed that he suffered from sarcoidosis, a rare autoimmune disease that causes inflammation in tissue, most often in the lungs. Which I am sure led to the prolonged pneumonia and ultimately his passing.

I know Bernie Mac has nothing to do with fashion, but I wanted to take the time out to recognize  his life on our site. For those who do not know who this man was he was a comedian(stand-up) and he also had his own comedic TV show about life, especailly parenting. Mac also had many rolls along side many well known actors, Brad Pitt and George Clooney (Ocean 11) to name a few. The sad part his Mac didn’t get his big break until he was about 32 years old, so we only had him for a glorious short period of time.

Mac is survived by his wife Rhonda McCullough, their daughter, Je’Niece, a son-in-law and a granddaughter, Jasmine.
