There is an unhealthy trend of women using sunglasses instead of their prescription glasses while driving or doing other work that required precise eyesight. These fashion conscious women prefer to use and be seen in shades than spectacles.
Approximately one fifth of the population of female motorists generally admitted to driving without their prescription glasses because they were too vain to wear them. About 25% of women would rather wear sunglasses than spectacles. Some women motorists relied on passengers to read road signs and street names for them.
Around 11 % of women motorists with accidents had poor vision. One way to overcome the eyesight and fashion problems would be to get prescription sunglasses.
