Miniature dogs are getting very popular. The fashion designers have caught on and are getting a slice of the lucrative trade by designing dog carriers that look like fashionable handbags. Each bag may cost from a few hundreds to thousands of dollars.
Geri Halliwell has a toy dog Shihtzu named Harry. Paris Hilton has a favorite Chihuahua named Tinkerbell. Britney Spears also has at least one Chihuahua that she carries outdoors.
These handbag sized dogs are popular because of their small size and ease with which they can be brought almost anywhere. There are male handbag carriers for men too.
