As usual the Emmy’s were glamorous and full of style. Of course there are always those stars wearing something that makes you think” What in the hell were they thinking, when they picked out this outfit?” and we have them, but we took in the greats, the awfuls and the I am just not sures and they are here for you to see!
Let’s start with the Best Dressed….
These three ladies were the show stoppers of the night. Olivia Wilde was just all over heavenly in her satin and chiffon twist-front Reem Acra gown with jewel-sprinkled cap sleeves. Wilde took her look to a while new level with Jimmy Choo heels, a Stuart Weitzman clutch and Kwiat jewels. Debra Messing didn’t come for herself Emmy night, which is a shame because she is such a wonderful actress but, she did come to support her husband and that she did looking beautiful as always. Debra stunned in a dramatic midnight gown by Monique Lhuillier and diamond fan pendant earrings by jeweler Fred Leighton.Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series nominee Vanessa Williams embraced the season’s floral in a custom-made Kevan Hall dress that would make her fashionably fabulous Ugly Betty character, Wilhelmina, proud.
Hills star Lauren Conrad showed off a navy chiffon gown she designed herself. “I did it similar to mine,” Conrad said of the second Emmy dress she created—to be worn onstage by one of the Emmy trophy girls. “So we’re kind of twinsies.” In addition to the fashion scoop, Conrad also confirmed that BFF Audrina Patridge has moved out of the L.A. home they once shared. Evangeline Lilly, whose show Lost is up for the top prize (Best Drama), sizzled in a powder-color muslin gown from Elie Saab Haute Couture, matching Elie Saab heels and a crystal-encrusted clutch from Zufi Alexander. Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series nominee America Ferrera, who recently relocated to New York City to film Ugly Betty on location. Ferrera paired her gorgeous vintage Werle dress with Rene Caovilla black lace pumps and 19th century Fred Leighton jewels.
Now For the Worst…
Desperate Housewives star Marcia Cross channeled Grace Kelly in an ankle-length confection by Elie Saab and plenty of diamonds from Hearts On Fire. This dress was just not right maybe is was the neutral flowers or the shape, I am not sure but it just doesn’t work, that I do know for sure. Petite beauty Eva Longoria Parker walked the carpet in a sassy, loose-fitting Marchesa dress with an extravagant bow at the bust. This bow did nothing for her,it even made her look top heavy and awkwardly shaped. She matched the icy, fringed frock with super-high silver stilettos and Verdura jewels which were the items that saved her here.
There were more of course but i just didn’t have the heart t but them up n the site, it could ruin them!
Now for the not so sures…
Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series nominee Christina Applegate, in a draped gown from Reem Acra’s 2009 Spring collection and Lorraine Schwartz jewels. “I’m wearing a pretty dress and lipstick, which is something I haven’t done for two months,” said the Samantha Who? star, who has made recent headlines for her battle with breast cancer. The shows most glamorous host, Heidi Klum, will wear numerous looks throughout the evening; the first being an avant-garde metallic gray asymmetrical dress from Armani Prive with Lorraine Schwartz jewels. Thanks to the gown’s long tiers, the Project Runway nominee seemed to float down the red carpet.
O and we must not forget the men….
