Guess who’s on the print of Aubrey O’Day’s shirtdress? Herself, no less! I’m not really a fan of stars who adore themselves too much, and I think the singer has just gone too far. If she’s trying to sell herself as a living fashion trend I don’t think she’d make it. Why? Because her style is just so off trend. Yes the cut may be cool, but the print is just a no-no. O’Day just looked like a worn-out Playboy model, especially with the pumps and her loose unmanaged do. Honey, can’t you think of anything more stylish than that? She could have looked much prettier in a plain top.

There is definitely something wrong with Lucy Liu’s pink strapless mini, I just can’t figure out what. The actress wore the silky pink dress at the Independent Spirit Awards last February 21, and somehow she wasn’t that pretty in pink. She seemed to get along well with the dress, but the shape just didn’t fit her, nor was it able to hide some of her loose skin. If there’s anything I like about her that night was her simple makeup and neutral heels-their neutrality kept her from looking worse that night. Oh well, I guess Liu should have chosen another color, or another fabric for her dress instead.

Kardashian just finished having a good meal at Mr. Chow’s eatery at Beverly Hills last February 19 when she was spotted by the cameras wearing an ultra-stylish Victoria Tea belt around her waist, and a pale bronze-copper metallic one-piece dress. Her shoes complemented her bronze effect with a pale pastel shade, and her loose hair just gave her a great crowning glory. She should dress like this more often, and yea, smile like this more often too!

While the Academy Awards was a night of glamour and elegance, the Independent Spirit Awards on the other hand welcomed celebrities to come in their own fashion trends, no matter what their fashion sense is. Among the stars that caught the fashion spotlight during the event was Terri Hatcher, who came in a sleek skin-fit pair of pants, high boots and a black corset worn above her white sleeveless tee. The Desperate Housewives’ star didn’t look much like a 44-year old that evening, but she can pass for an overgrown teenager for arriving in such outfit. Anyway, I still love the way Terri Hatcher dressed up at the event-she looked very much like a true independent spirit. Kudos, Terri!

Big stripes and a mod mini used to be a fad during the past, and they certainly could not be resurrected at present, especially when it’s Michelle Williams who would trot them on the runway. The actress wore a striped mini dress to the Independent Spirit Awards and she looked simply awful. There’s nothing wrong with her face or body-Williams actually remains to be pretty the way she was back at the Dawson’s Creek days. Could she have a better fashion style at least? There are times when I hate the way Carrie Underwood carries her clothes, but this time I give her all my love for being classy and stylish at Elton John’s annual Oscars party. The former American Idol arrived in a silver Swarovski dress with matching silver peep-toe sandals, making her shimmer all through the night. It’s not really often that Underwood dresses up quite chic and fashionable, and I usually see her flaunting her vocals on stage with those country-inspired fashion denims and jackets-though they represent her genre, I think I’m happier with her in elegant girl dresses such as this. I wonder what Simon Cowell had to say upon seeing her that night?
