Brits are beginning to flaunt more fashion trends this year, and I love it. First there was Lily Allen and her bizaare yet cutesy fashion sense which provided more freedom of style among today’s young generation. Now here’s Nicola Roberts of “Girls Aloud”. Nicola, unlike Lily Allen, rather focuses on more conventional fashion trends and mix and match them with her own style. She can go from mod to hippie to working girl type, and yet she looks all fresh and pretty. Well, almost. The only thing that distracts me about Nicola is her hair. It’s full of volume yet it seems dry and difficult to manage. I’d even have it mistaken for a wig! But anyway, a few cuts would do the trick. Go Nicola!

Vanessa Hudgens may be one of this generation’s best dressed teeners, but she does fall into some fashion flubs as well. While in attendance at LG & Heidi Klum Rumorous Night, Vanessa sported a mint green mini chiffon dress which did not in any way make her look chic. The dress failed to accentuate the young star’s assets, and rather made her look reserved in a night where she has to shine. Worse, her choice of footwear was terrible. Yes, gladiators are fierce and all, but they do not fit her dress at all! I suppose Vanessa has a wide range of outfits in her closet which are way better than these, so please, pretty please, try to spend more effort working on a suitable fashion style next time.

The Black Eyed Peas showcased their latest single “Boom Boom Pow” at the “American Idol” finale last May 20, and I could say that the group’s still hanging on with their signature funky beats to keep up with their popularity in the music scene. While their music is a hit for me, Fergie’s shades were not. The Dutchess wore a freaky futuristic pair of shades at the “Idol” finale, and I don’t know whether I should be amused with her eyewear. They are full of luster, too metallic, too hard, and they remind me of Andy Gibb’s “Boys Do Fall In Love” which is soooo ’80s. Fergie, it’s 2009 now. Face the future.

Ruffled dresses are always a hit among female celebs, and so are assymetrical sleeves. Well, these styles form an elegant combination especially when worn in formal events. Anyway, since we’re talking about the ruffle-assymetry combo, let’s check out two hot female stars who are to face each other when it comes to who looks better-in the said style.
Reality TV star Kim Kardashian wore a baby powder pink dress which made her look more chic and formal, as it toned down her voluptuous figure in a pretty, reserved way. Very different from the usual sensual Kim K we all know.
Meanwhile here’s Brittany Snow. The tween princess wears a rather deep, metallic fuschia dress of the same style. While it made her look more mature, I think Brittany was able to carry herself with her getup as she’s slowly emerging from being a teen girl to a young woman-and she knows how to transcend. I think it’s Brittany who got the stylish dress better than Kim K.
What do you guys think?

Selena Gomez is one of the rising stars teenagers love these days. Star of the hit series “Witches of Waverly Place,” Selena definitely knows how to look pretty all the time. So, to those who want to get Selena’s look, here’s what you can do:
The Face: Use Good Riddance Concealer Hook Up to cover the zits and even out the skintone. Then apply some Get a Tint Tinted Moisturizer Lotion at SPF 15 to keep your skin hydrated, and finish it off with Glow Xpert Face Shimmer on the cheeks and apples to give out a natural shine.
The Eyes: Brush some I-Mark Eyeshadow in Biscotti on the lids, then draw the lower lash line with a dark brown eye pencil. Then volumize the lashes with Make It Big Mascara.
The Lips: For the lips, apply Glow Baby Glow Hook Up lip gloss in Pink Crush.

What a good way to say goodbye to spring and welcome the summer season-Mary J. Blige cut off her spunky colored tresses and metallic hues for a more fresh, cool watercolor maxi at the 37th Fifi Awards at the Armory in New York City. This Roberto Cavalli creation suited the singer’s body type and gave her a less angular look. The colors of green shades and purple flowers as well matched her copper skin, and yes, there’s no need for all the metal glitter-Mary J. already shines all throughout. I just wonder what’s inside the maxi she’s wearing, as I could not see any footwear. Are they a fashionable match to her chic dress, or are they a pair of power bootsies for a surprise number?

Who says even the most beautiful stars don’t have flaws? Well, this one hot celeb has and has been brave enough to show her glitch: a missing tooth. Demi Moore really knew how to keep herself real and not just as a screen siren whom we all loved in the movies. In millions of photos she has captivated us with her sparkling smile, but who would have thought that a piece of her pearly whites is actually a fake-and it’s in her front teeth! Demi lost her front tooth years back, and has hidden it to the public for the whole time being. However, she found it fun to take pics of her with that empty gap and posted it on Twitter. Yes, she did fulfill her goal to look funny, but there’s one more thing that she was able to prove: she’s a real person. And I love her for that!

Why do people braid their long hair? For most women, it’s a good way of managing their unruly locks. For men, they either are fans of Chinese movie heroes or American Indian flicks. But the braids have grown from being an innovative way of holding one’s mane into a highly fashionable do.
Braids can serve as tiaras and headbands when done correctly, and most Hollywood celebs are getting fond of the braided look these days. Hippie and boho enthusiasts Nicole Richie and Mary Kate Olsen like the headband and loose braid up-dos, while Jennifer Aniston, Miley Cyrus and Isla Fisher prefer looking like Celtic princesses with their sided braids. So, what’s your pick on the versatile braid?
