Lavish Sneakers: Michelle Obama

This pair of cross-trainers were on the feet of US First Lady Michelle Obama last Wednesday when she attended the Feeding America volunteer event. What struck the press though was not just her presence, but her sneakers-that cost a lavish price of $540! The suede footwear, donned with grossgrain laces and metallic pink caps, is creation of French designer Lanvin, one of Europe’s hottest fashion names when it comes to shoes. While we all think the cross-trainers are quite expensive, Mrs. Obama intends to use them for a more meaningful purpose, to support her feet in her outdoor activities. Lanvin is a brand loved by a lot of celebs these days, including Kanye West and Ellen DeGeneres.
