In Memoriam: Farrah Fawcett
Posted on June 26, 2009
She was probably the last pin-up girl in the history of Hollywood. Her smile cast a spell on the alpha-male race back then, and her sun-kissed tan became the concept of the new all-American girl. Farrah Fawcett. One of the few stars who was able to set a trend that define a whole decade, thanks to her signature fly-away, full-volume hairstyle. Men loved her, women hate her. But nonetheless her style as copied and imitated, and even revived in the succeeding fashion trends. If hairsprays were the thing of the ’60s, in the ’70s it was the volume mousse that made it big in the business, thanks to Farrah.
She set an undying fashion. She made a new business niche. She set history. Indeed, Farrah was an angel.
We will miss you. (Farrah Fawcett, 1948-2009)
