In Focus: M.I.A.

Celebs are now known for their fashion sense, for their style defines who and what they are. And among those who made it big in the business thanks to their fashion concepts include Lady Gaga, Roisin Murphy, Lily Allen and Katy Perry. But I guess we missed out on somebody who deserves more recgonition than any of the ones I mentioned. I’m talking about British-Sri Lankan singer-artist M.I.A. Maya Arulpragasam, an established visual artist who made it big in the music industry thanks to file sharing of her demo songs, is known for her flashy colors and politically-inspired outfits. Not to mention that she looks 100% Asian, and having adopted the styles of the West, I think she really did a great job in fusing 2 cultures in one modern look. Cheers!
