Another Halloween treat from Britain is socialite Elen Rives. Aside from being a rich kid, Elen made heads turn not for her socialite status, but for her horrifying coat which was plugged with Hello Kitty clones. I think this is worse than Lady Gaga’s Kermit ensemble, and merely looking at it makes me really sad. First, the coat is very heavy. Second, the Hello Kitty stuffed toys seem like they want to get off the pink coat and run away forever. I know that the famous kitten celebrated her 35th birthday just last week, but if this is Elen Rives’ way of paying tribute to the animated icon, then she should have just flown to LA and celebrated with the other stars instead.

Happy Halloween! Well, I can’t feature much about the halloween costumes, but I’ve got a special tribute to the season of ghouls and everything scary: Scary Spice! Mel Brown, who back then was known for her kinky Afro hair during the Spice Girls days, was all smiles after being clicked at by the cameras. It could have been just any other photo op if not for her striking hairdo, which is nothing more than–fake. Her blonde wig made her look ridiculous, not to mention scary. Where’s her signature bouncy curls? Mel B. would have looked better with her natural hair, instead of fulfilling her blonde ambition with a faux pas mane.

Okay, so lovebirds/newlyweds Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian proved their eternal love for each other not only by means of marriage, but also by having matching love tattoos. The pair had each other’s initials inked on their hands, Khloe bearing LO and Lamar having K. While their new tats are a symbol of their undying love and loyalty, the couple also signed a pre-nup agreement about the same week they got inked, with reportedly ridiculous requests coming from Khloe. What can I say? Nothing. At least the two aren’t as worse as the Speidi couple, and the fact that they just got married out of nowhere is already a good thing for celebrities like them. While dead newlyweds are common in Halloween parties, the couple’s costumes totally rocked the night for one main reason-they really look dead. While Christina made it a point to keep her hair pink, her old, roaring ’20s ghouly makeup transformed her into a ghastly bride, and good thing her hubby kept up with her by posing as a freshly-dug groom. Indeed rocker chick Juliette Lewis failed the fashion tops this fall, but she definitely struck a good inspiration for all those who want to maintain their rock image in the middle of their Halloween party. Juliette’s metallic black frock and fishnet stockings are already cool, but what added the spart was her untamed hair and black lace handgloves, which make her look really wicked. What’s missing? I guess the faux pas devil’s horns headband (the one with the lights) and the bloody red lipstick-with those add-ons, she’s definitely all set to be this year’s ghoul queen!

Reese Witherspoon glams up her Southern belle beauty as she hosts Avon’s 9th annual Foundation for Women Gala in NYC, and she definitely is triumphant in giving herself a spark. The blonde sweet-faced actress arrived in a form-fitting mini dress, strapped heels and long soft locks. She made the right decision of showing off her shoulders with her strapless dress, and her mature light makeup gave her that air of command. Because of the way she carried herself at the event, Reese truly looked perfect to be Avon’s poster girl. And while she fulfilled her hosting duties, Reese still made time to look glam before posing for the cameras! Now what can Jake Gyllenhaal say?

Jessica Simpson just arrived from the taping of her new reality show and guess what-she has a new tattoo! The pop tart brought on her left hand a henna tattoo which I think is beautiful, but not on her. While the brown henna tattoo has a striking uniqueness available only to the Asian culture, the design does not fit Jess at all. Unfortunately, Jess looks like a trying hard fashionista with her tat, paired with her plaid overshirt and grey tank top. Well, I’m no longer surprised. Although the Olsen twins dress like old, ghoulish women, they are indeed trendy fashion designers. And they have just released their own teen fashion line for JCPenney named “Olsendboye.” The clothing line ranges from shirts to jeans and almost everything casual yet stylish, and I can say that the fashion concept held under this brand is totally in contrast to the dresses Ashley and Mary-Kate wear. My take on their new line? Cutesy, and a bit grunge-which I think was the era of their growing up years. And guess what, the cost of their clothes are fairly affordable as well, with prices ranging from $20-$50, available at sizes 0 to 15.
