Cat eye makeup has been done and revived for years, but the newest makeup trend combines the cat eye with smokey eyes. Ready to say meow with this sexy, bold look?

THE LOOK: Popularized in the 1950s to 60s by pin-up icons like Marilyn Monroe, the kitten eyes or cat eye relies heavily on dark brown or black eye liners. The modern version includes fake lashes, smokey eye shadow, pencil eyeliner, liquid eyeliner and mascara.

THE TRICK: Line your eyes with a lighter shade of pencil eyeliner, followed by a smooth liquid eyeliner then smudging it outward to create the cat look. If you want to keep it simple like Taylor Swift, stop here. If you want to go bolder, add smokey eye shadow.  Once you’re done with the makeup, add your fake lashes and use mascara to blend it in with your natural lashes. Pimp your eyes up with rhinestones like Jessie J if you want a more edgy look.
