The celebrities who attended the Golden Globes looked amazing in the red carpet, but when it comes to hair and makeup, we’re giving Emma Stone, Kate Beckinsale and Angelina Jolie props for their well-thought of look for the event.

Best eye makeup goes to Emma Stone – With her red hair and edgy custom-made Lanvin, Emma Stone was definitely one of our favorites at the Golden Globes, but her makeup was just as perfect. Stone’s long-time makeup artist Rachel Goodwin created a diffuse smoky eye with blacks, grays, and silvers, which highlighted her sea-green eyes and matched her biker-girl turned formal wear perfectly.

Best lips goes to Angelina Jolie – Jolie surprised many people who expected her gloomy black dress and neutral makeup at the Golden Globes, but the actress came with a stunning white dress with bold red lining, which she paired with a crimson lipstick color a satiny finish (similar to her dress). She also went with strong brows and a semi-cat eye, but without the liner. Her lashes were evidently much thicker on the outer part of her eyes.

Best skin goes to Kate Beckinsale – Kate wore a dress just like most of her red-carpet outfits – a body-hugging strapless gown, which we think was a bit expected, but her skin looked very glamorous. Instyle talked to makeup artist Molly Stern, who revealed that “by using primer and tinted moisturizer, we were able to admire Kate’s natural complexion. We highlighted Kate’s cheekbones with a swirl of bronzer and NARS Highlighting Blush in Miss Liberty, a shimmery peachy. Gold and brown accents on the eyes accentuated their hazel tones; a high-shine nude lip added low-key glamour.”
