The 2012 Academy of Country Music Awards was held yesterday in Las Vegas, Nevada with country stars from Gwyneth Paltrow to Sugarland attending the star-studded event. Of course, with such celebrities gearing up for the red carpet, tons of gorgeous dresses were on the spotlight. Check out what Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Martina McBride and Jennifer Nettles wore to the 2012 ACM Awards.
Miranda Lambert won several awards at the event, including “Album of the Year” and “Female Vocalist of the Year.” And it looks like she knew this would happen, as she wore a golden dress fit for a winner. Miranda went with a liquid-gold sequin Randi Rahm gown, which she paired with Fred Leighton jewelry.
Carrie Underwood looked as effortlessly chic as always in a strapless Abed Mahfouz dress (from the Couture Spring/Summer 2012 collection), which featured a thigh-high split and embellished details. She paired it up with silver Jimmy Choo “Luna” peep-toe pumps and accessorized with diamond jewelry.
Martina McBride was nominated for ‘Female Vocalist of the Year,’ and attended the event wearing a sleeveless, above-the-knee Georges Chakra white embroidered dress (from the Spring 2011 Couture collection), which featured pink coral stone designs. She paired it up with nude pumps and diamond jewelry.
Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles looked very comfortable in a neon pink, custom-made Max Azria gown that featured lace inserts and a bright yellow bead-embellished waist band, which we think was a bold choice that she easily pulled off. Jennifer accessorized with ruby earrings and a red Edie Parker clutch.
