At the Kids Choice earlier this month, Emma Stone looked chic in light pink Antonio Berardi draped-skirt dress, nude leather Alejandro Ingelmo “Gilda” wedges and jewelry from Irene Neuwirth. Her makeup, as always, was perfectly done, but this time, the blonde-haired 23-year-old actress also had one of the best hairstyles at the 2012 Kids Choice Awards. If you want to recreate those soft ringlets, her hairstylist is sharing some tips for you.
Emma Stone’s hairstylist David Babaii talked to InStyle about the actress’ hairstyle at the Nickelodeon awards show. Babaii revealed that to make the breezy soft ringlets, you’ll need to towel-dry your hair and find a quality mousse, hairspray and a hairdryer.
Babaii added that if you want your hair to have extra volume, give the hair a “cool water rinse before styling,” explaining that this method “seals the cuticle, and gives hair extra shine.”
When working on your hair, begin by dividing strands into three portions – the top, side and back. Next step is to blow-dry each section using a round brush. To create soft curls, Babaii explained to “Take large sections of hair, and loosely wrap them three-fourths of the way around a large barrel curling iron. Hold for about ten seconds, and finish with a spritz of hairspray.”
