Michelle Williams was definitely the star of the night at the New York premiere of her film “Take this Waltz” during the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival on Sunday, April 22. She owned a dress with floral embroidery, polka dots, metallic graphic designs and a yellow pleated skirt, which surprisingly looked super elegant on the actress.

The 31-year-old actress took a patchwork drop-waist dress and made it high fashion, as she opted for the Giambattista Valli patchwork dress (from the Spring 2012 RTW collection). The gorgeous knee-length sleeveless dress featured a jewel neckline, a pleated skirt, floral embroidery above the waist and “bands of beautifully contrasting patterns, shot through with metallic threads.”

Michelle Williams paired the $4,995 dress with nude Christian Louboutin “Vicky Jane” ankle-strap pumps (from the Fall 2011 collection). She let the colorful pastel and metallic dress do the talking and opted not to accessorize much, except for a pair of floral stud earrings. Williams finished off with glossy pink lips, a bit of rosy blush and dramatic eyelashes. Her blonde pixie was styled in her trademark messy-chic ‘do.
