When it came to hair and makeup at the 2012 Met Gala, the old Hollywood look was one of the trends celebrities opted for the much-anticipated fashion event. Amy Adams rocked the vintage look from head to toe.
The 37-year-old actress wore an ivory one-shoulder Giambattista Valli gown (from the Spring/Summer 2012 HC collection) that she paired with Brian Atwood shoes, Fred Leighton jewelry and Judith Leiber embellished box art deco minaudiere (from the Fall 2010 collection) designed with semi-precious stone and crystal accents.
Celebrity makeup artist Stephen Sollitto shared to Tarte Cosmetics that Amy Adams‘ dress inspired him to match her hair and makeup with an Old Hollywood theme. To recreate the look, begin with a primer (Tarte’s clean slate flawless™ 12-hr brightening primer) and then finishing off with light satin foundation (Tarte’s Amazonian clay 12-hour full coverage foundation)
The color of Amy’s cheeks consisted of Tarte’s Amazonian clay 12-hour blush in blushing bride, Tarte’s maracuja blush & glow brightening luminizer and cheek tint in candlelight for her cheek bones.
Adams’ eyes shined with the golden peach from Tarte’s neutralEYES eye shadow palette volume II, defined with tarte’s Amazonian clay waterproof cream eyeshadow in plum smoke and lined with black multiplEYE™ liquid eyeliner. Stephen finished off Amy’s makeup with Tarte’s lights, camera, lashes!™ 4-1in-1 mascara and Tarte’s glamazon™ lipstick in wild.
