Kirsten Stewart Makeup: Copper-Gold Smokey Eyes

June 1, 2012 by Paulene

Kristen Stewart is back in the U.S. after a world tour promoting “Snow White and the Huntsman,” and several Cannes appearances. On Tuesday night, the actress attended the LA industry screening of SWATH wearing a modern tailored skirt suit, gorgeous makeup and her usual messy-but-edgy hairstyle. If you want to recreate her look, the good folks of The Fashion Court got a hold of Stewart’s makeup artist and revealed how to copy the look.

The 22-year-old actress wore head-to-toe Stella McCartney for the event, which included a black blazer (from the Winter 2012 collection) on top off her white high- collared shirt and a stunning black flared skirt with studded pattern detail (both from the Fall 2012 RTW collection). Kristen Stewart finished off with Stella McCartney’s Fall 2012 black pumps that featured a white platform and accessorized with only a bunch of rings that included Melinda Maria’s Sliced Ring (14 karat gold plated band set with a stunning black onyx stone).

Wearing ruby red nails and styling her hair in a woven up do (which we think also looked stunning and showcased Kristen’s style), Kristen finished up with intense eye makeup that involved playing with different shades of copper and gold on top off an intense smokey eye. The Fashion Court talked to Kristen’s makeup artist Jillian Dempsey, who revealed that they wanted to keep her look “youthful and undone, but with strong eyes to match her hair and outfit.” Follow these steps to recreate the look:

  • FACE: For a glowing skin, use Armani Luminous Silk Foundation.
  • EYES: For the “black eye effect,” Jillian used Givenchy Magic Khol Eye Liner Pencil on both the upper and lower lids using a big nylon brush “to smudge around the eyes.” As for Kristen’s eyeshadow, Jillian played around with various hues of gold and copper in the crease. She used Stila eyeshadow in ‘Jezebel’ as a contour above the crease line, before blending in a gold shadow from Alcone Kryolan’s Crème Eyeshadow Palette. Jillian finished off by swiping two dabs of Shiseido mascara to add more volume to Kristen’s lashes
  • CHEEKS: For natural-looking pale cheeks, Jillian used a Mercier Second Skin Cheek Colour in ‘Wild Bouquet’.
  • LIPS: Jillian applied YSL Rouge Pur Couture Vernis à Lèvres Glossy Stain in #7 Corail Aquatique and topped it off with Terry Rose Balm.
