Lily Collins has worn a bunch of princessy dresses recently, so when we saw her at the 2012 CFDA Fashion Awards held at Alice Tully Hall in NYC Monday night, we were shocked and impressed that Lily could pull off such a regal dress.

The 23-year-old “Mirror Mirror” star wore a champagne cap-sleeved Marchesa dress (from the Fall 2012 collection), which featured a high neckline, a darker-hued metallic eagle embroidery at the center of her chest, a drop-waist design and a flounce mini skirt.

The dress combined regal feminine elegance with a modern and youthful twist. It was also a great idea that Lily Collins wore a shorter version of the dress, which made the drop waist perfect for her petite figure.

Lily paired the intricate dress with a metallic Giuseppe Zanotti calfskin pumps and a matching golden clutch, two rings and stud earrings. Collins finished off by styling her dark tresses in a high twisted bun, dark pink lips and complimenting gold eyeshadow on top of her semi smokey eyes.
