If you were a Revlon ambassador and you had all the makeup choices in the world, you’d probably be as adventurous as Emma Stone. At the French premiere of her movie “The Amazing Spider-Man” at Le Grand Rex in Paris Tuesday night, the actress showed off her dark side in a gothic dress and vampy makeup.
The actress wore a black Gucci gown (from the Autumn/Winter 2012/2013 collection), which featured blood red embellishments throughout the dress and a sheer tulle skirt and a low v-neckline. She paired it up with black Christian Louboutin “Pigalle” point-toe pumps and accessorized with a snake-designed white gold and black diamond ring from Repossi.
Wearing her blonde hair swept to one side with loose curls, Emma Stone channeled the models from Gucci’s Feb 22 Milan runway, opting to go goth in lily-white face and dark red lips. At the time, the makeup pro for Gucci’s runway show, Pat McGrath, explained to Allure.com of the models’ intense makeup: “It’s all about the bleached eyebrows and slightly paled-out skin with a dark lip—it’s ethereal, but dark and strong.”
Although Emma didn’t go extreme and bleached her eyebrows, she did followed the trends used on that particular runway and we think it paid off. We think her makeup was surprising and we wouldn’t have liked the pale skin in other occasions, but the dark lips and pale face looked hauntingly beautiful when paired with the dress.
