We knew it was only a matter of time when some big brand would snag Chloe Moretz as a spokesperson, but we didn’t think it would be Aeropostale…and with actual curating control as well.
The 15-year-old actress, with a film portfolio of “Kick-Ass,” “Let Me In,” “Hugo” and “Dark Shadows,” among others, has a passion for fashion as shown in her various red carpet appearances and fashion shows.
Chloe Moretz will not only be the first brand ambassador for Aeropostale, but will also curate collections for the company’s online store and in-store branches. In an interview with Women’s Wear Daily, Chloe revealed: “I get my own section, I got to pull my own clothes. Girls can go and see what I love and what I wear in the shoots. It’s a way for me to be in touch with girl.”
Moretz also announced her new gig via Twitter, telling her followers: “I’m so happy to announce that I am the face of #Aero so proud to be apart of a brand that wants every girl and boy to feel stylish and beautiful, inside and out! #Aeropostale.”
As Aeropostale SVP Scott Birnbaum puts it: “When we met Chloe, it was really an instant love affair. She has such great style, she can mix it up. She wears great high-end designers and everyday stuff. We think she’s a role model. She’s quirky and actually really funny, and those are things our brand stands for.”
Yes, we agree. Chloe Moretz has had some misses in the past, but we’ll go with any celebrity that chooses to go bold with style and get criticized for it, than others who keep it safe.
