Maria Sharapova steals the show in a J. Mendel gown

July 12, 2012 by Paulene

Maria Sharapova looked absolutely gorgeous at the 2012 ESPY Awards last night. While Hayden Panettiere dominated in the body-hugging dress department, Maria Sharapova stunned in a romantic flowy gown that perfectly showed off her toned figure from head to toe.

The 25-year-old tennis player, who won the 2012 French Open and took home the ‘ESPY Best Female Tennis Player’ at the event, stepped out in a pastel blue J. Mendel silk chiffon gown (from the Resort 2013 collection). Designed by Gilles Mendel, the sleeveless dress featured a key-hole at the bust, cut-outs on her side, and hand-pleated elements on the neckline, bodice and waist. The skirt flowed romantically as she walked and showed her sexy silhouette underneath.

Maria Sharapova paired the dress with crystal mesh Jimmy Choo “Falcon” sandals (from the Fall/Winter 2011 Collection) and accessorized with the right pieces – a silver studded Lara Bohinc bracelet and matching earrings. Swept-up ‘do, smokey eyes and glossy nude lips completed her look.
