Cate Blanchett attended the opening night party for her show “Uncle Vanya” at the New York City Center Saturday, looking elegant in a black, white and brown dress.
The 43-year-old Academy Award–winning Australian actress looked like Hollywood royalty in a black cotton Givenchy dress (from the 2013 Resort collection) that featured three-quarter-length loose sleeves, white and maroon geometric shapes on the front with a few hints of paisley design, and a knee-length asymmetrical draped hem.
Cate Blanchett, who was joined by her husband Andrew Upton (who worked on the adapting the 2010 Sydney Theatre Company material for this production), paired the elegant dress with black Roger Vivier peep-toe booties (from the Fall 2012 collection). She finished off by styling her blonde her swept to one side in an updo, oldrose-tinted lips, a bit of golden eyeshadow and black eyeliner.
The show will run through July 28 as a part of the Lincoln Center Festival.
