Cate Blanchett, the current cover Gotham magazine, celebrated the summer issue at New York’s The London Hotel yesterday, looking fabulous in a capelet dress.
The 43-year-old “The Hobbit” star wore a dress from Givenchy’s Resort 2013 collection, a collection filled with elegantly chosen prints to contrast classic elements like capelets, edgy details like leather and on-trend pieces like those with a peplum.
Cate Blanchett wore the dress so effortlessly as though a black and white top tucked into a printed bohemian pencil skirt wasn’t hard to rock. She then paired it off with black Fall 2012 Roger Vivier “Cloud” peep-toe booties (the same ones Cate wore to the opening night party of her show “Uncle Vanya”).
Blanchett also accessorized with an oversized brown and black checkered Givenchy clutch (also from the Resort 2013 collection). She finished off wearing her blonde hair in a swept updo and going with smokey eyes and matte pink lips.
