Too “Bridal”? Jordin Sparks in white Chagoury Couture gown

The problem with wearing white gowns in red carpet events is that there’s always a huge chance that you’ll look “too bridal.” Case in point is Jordin Sparks during the L.A. premiere of her remake musical film “Sparkle” yesterday.

The 22-year-old singer wore a white custom-made strapless Chagoury Couture gown, which featured a heavily embellished bodice with a sweetheart neckline that curves down to the thigh before it ends with a mini train. She paired up the sparkly bridal dress with iridescent sequin-embellished Jimmy Choo “Crown” peep-toe pumps (from the Fall 2012 collection).

Jordin Sparks completed her look with a sparkly Judith Leiber minaudière and jewelry designed by her boyfriend Jason Derulo.

Sparks hid her red dip-dyed hair by styling her hair with side-swept bangs and tied into a low updo. Glossy nude lips, coral cheeks and smokey eyes finished off her look.
