The annual Video Music Awards is known for outrageous outfits, crazy hair and plenty of antics celebrities avoid doing/wearing in any other serious awards show. So, when we saw Miley Cyrus, Rihanna and Pink rocking some serious hairstyles, it really felt like the VMAs. Whose show-stopper hairdo did you liked?


First up is Miley Cyrus, who recently chopped off her hair super short and dyed it blonde. The singer/actress channeled her inner rock-‘n-roll style with a black Emilio Pucci gown that featured long sleeves, a plunging neckline and sheer insets all-throughout her floor-length gown. She then wore a pair of black Christian Louboutin “Lady Indiana” peep-toe pumps, and accessorized with a sparkling Edie Parker “Jean” clutch and a spiked Loree Rodkin ring. Miley styled her short hair up into a buzzed-side pompadour ‘do, which showed off her spiked arrow Loree Rodkin earrings perfectly.

Next up is Rihanna, who chopped her long black hair into a very short pixie cut. The “We Found Love” singer kept her look simple in a white custom-made Adam Selman gown with an open back and knotting details at the straps and at her waist. Under her gown was a pair of beige Manolo Blahnik suede sandals. She added some edge with this classic dress with applique nails and gorgeous gold Jacqui Aiche rings. Rihanna finished off her look with bold red lips, stunning eye makeup and Neil Lane diamond earrings.

Pink had her post-baby comeback at VMAs and rocked the red carpet in a silver Stella McCartney gown that featured intricate beading and a slit on one side. She then paired it up with black peep-toe pumps and stunning gunmetal Lorraine Schwartz earrings. Although her platinum blonde pixie was styled similar to Miley’s, the edginess of Pink’s ‘do came pretty effortless. Plus, she accessorized her Mohawk with silver spikes in the middle of her hair that peeked through perfectly.
