At the 2012 NCLR ALMA Awards held in LA, it wasn’t only host Eva Longoria who went with black ensembles. Black was the color of the evening and Nicole Richie, Christina Aguilera and Naya Rivera all got dolled up in black, while Zoe Saldana was one of the few who added a pop of color to the red carpet. Check out what they wore to the event.

First up is Nicole Richie, who is looking a bit thin these days, wore a black Mathieu Mirano gown (from the Fall 2012 collection), which featured a sheer bodice and long sleeves adorned with black and gold leather paillettes with a floor-length silk skirt. She paired it up with black patent leather Yves Saint Laurent “Tribtoo” pumps hidden under her gown and accessorized with a House of Harlow 1960 “Tilda” clutch. We’re surprised that we liked the raccoon eyes, which we think rarely suits anyone, but the dramatic gown was perfect for her makeup. An elegant chignon finished up her look.
It was nice to see Christina Aguilera on the red carpet. The judge of “The Voice” wore a Michael Kors gown that featured long lace sleeves and back, a thigh-high slit on one side and a body-hugging, floor-length hem. Christina wasn’t able to pose for better angles, but the dress suited her. She paired it up with Swarovski-embellished Christian Louboutin “Decorapump” pumps (from the Fall 2012 collection), which matched perfectly with her Judith Leiber “Deco” minaudiere and sparkling Neil Lane jewelry.
Naya Rivera went with a recent trend – hitting the red carpet in a black Wolford “Mat de Luxe” forming bodysuit under her Dolce & Gabbana blazer and drop-crotch, cropped pants. She paired it up with black Dolce & Gabbana pointed-toe pumps and added glitz to her all-black outfit with Dana Rebecca earrings and a Rona Pfeiffer ring. With hair left down and nude lips, the “Glee” star added drama to her look with kohl-rimmed eyes and extra falsies.
Zoe Saldana also attended the event and it was refreshing to see her in an old rose Gucci pleated floor-length dress (from the Resort 2013 Collection) that featured a gorgeous v-neckline, flutter sleeves and an embellished belt. She paired it up with Brian Atwood “Bellini” sandals (from the Pre-Fall 2012 collection) underneath the dress. She finished off with a pair of Irene Neuwirth earrings that matched the color of her dress.
