2012 Emmys Yellow Fever: Julianne Moore, Leslie Mann, Claire Danes, Kaley Cuoco, Julie Bowen & Hannah Simone

September 23, 2012 by Paulene

You may have seen Julianne Moore, Julie Bowen and Claire Danes receive their awards on stage during the 64th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards all glowing in yellow gowns, but these gorgeous ladies weren’t the only ones that brought sunshine to the red carpet.

Check out what Julianne Moore, Leslie Mann, Claire Danes, Kaley Cuoco, Julie Bowen & Hannah Simone wore to the event…

Julianne Moore, who took home the Emmy for Best Actress in a Miniseries or Movie Emmy for “Game Change,” wore a canary yellow Christian Dior silk ball gown (designed by Raf Simons for the Fall/Winter 2012 Dior Haute Couture collection) that featured seamless long sleeves attached to a cashmere top that runs down her high-waisted pleated, floor-length skirt.

Moore finished off with Jimmy Choo heels, and added glitz to her outfit with a diamond Fred Leighton bracelet and matching earrings. Wearing her red locks down, she completed her look with red lips, pink cheeks and metallic eyeshadow.

Leslie Mann, who was of course joined by her husband Judd Apatow, wore a Naeem Khan ensemble (from the designer’s Spring 2013 collection) that featured an intricate bead-embellished nude halter-neck bodice attached to a floor-length marigold skirt with pockets. It wasn’t as traditional as the other dresses and we love it for that!

Mann finished off the look with just as bold accessories – going with a pair of turquoise Lorraine Schwartz oversized bead bracelets and matching earrings. A high, braided bun and light makeup completed her look.

Claire Danes, who was joined by her husband Hugh Dancy on the red carpet and won the award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for “Homeland,” showed off her growing baby bump in a yellow silk gown. Hers came from Lanvin’s Resort 2013 collection that featured a strapless bodice that was tucked into the waist, where a gorgeous draping detail fell up to the gown’s floor-length skirt.

Danes paired up her bright gown with a pair of gold and silver Barbara Bui “Lido” platform sandals (from the Fall 2012 collection) and accessorized with gold chain bracelets and golden drop-style earrings. With her hair worn down with Veronica Lake waves, Claire completed her look with neutral makeup and smokey eyes.

Kaley Cuoco also stole the show in canary yellow Angel Sanchez strapless gown (from the Fall/Winter 2012 Collection) with a pleated bodice that featured star-burst beading up to the layered skirt. Underneath her floor-length gown was a pair of Jimmy Choo Heels. “The Big Bang Theory” star completed her look with H.Stern jewelry, a Stark clutch, black nails and a braid swept to one side of her shoulder.

Julie Bowen took home the Supporting Comedy Actress award for her work on “Modern Family” in style, wearing a neon yellow Monique Lhuillier mermaid gown (from the Resort 2013 collection) that featured some layering on the knees and a short train.

Underneath her bulky bold dress is a pair of Jimmy Choo heels. She accessorized with a stunning pair of Bochic Fine Jewelry earrings and brought along a Swarovski bag. Julie styled her blonde hair with a half-down, half-up ‘do and completed her look with glossy nude lips and smokey eyes.

Our favorite “New Girl” star Hannah Simone wore a custom-made sunny yellow Emilio Pucci gown that features one-shoulder strap, a conservative thigh-high slit and a short train. Although her tan lines were a bit distracting, Hannah still rocked the dress perfectly and accessorized with matching gold Lorraine Schwartz leaf ring and earrings. With her trademark blunt bangs, Simone styled her hair into a half-up, half-down ‘do. Glossy nude lips and smokey eyes finished off her look for the event.

So whose yellow Emmy Awards dress did you love best?
