Unlike Amanda Seyfried who went with a bold red dress during the 16th Annual Hollywood Film Awards Gala, Kerry Washington attended the event at the Beverly Hilton Hotel keeping it neutral in a black and white dress.

The “Scandal” actress wore a black Monique Lhuillier strapless dress (from the Spring 2012 Ready-to-Wear collection) that featured white artsy splatter design all-throughout the dress and a poofy tea-length layered skirt. She paired it up with a pair of black Louis Vuitton pointed-toe pumps with a matching black bow at the front and a navy blue bow at the back, which is a bit over-embellished for our taste.

Kerry Washington accessorized with metallic Louis Vuitton Monogram Motard box clutch that had a contrasting look to the black and nude nail art she was sporting at the event.

Washington styled her black hair with a half-up, half-down ‘do that showed off her pyramid Borgioni stud earrings. Glossy coral lips, coral-tinged cheek and shimmery smokey eyes with dabs of mascara completed her look.
