Yellow Fever at the LACMA 2012: Cameron Diaz vs. Amy Adams

October 28, 2012 by Paulene

Cameron Diaz and Amy Adams have totally different styles, but during the LACMA 2012 Art + Film Gala last night, the two actresses both decided to wear yellow. Which dress do you love more?

The event, which honors artist Ed Ruscha and late director Stanley Kubrick, was presented by Gucci, so it wasn’t a surprise that almost all attendees wore Gucci.

As for Cameron Diaz, she went with a head-to-toe Gucci straight from the Spring/Summer 2013 collection. She wore a lemon yellow wool-blend mini dress that featured a split keyhole neckline, a floral embellished collar, bell long sleeves, a cut-out back and a matching yellow buckle belt. She showed off her long legs and finished off with black Gucci ankle-strap sandals. Cameron then accessorized with a see-through Gucci plexiglass clutch, black nails and a pair of statement rings. Red lips and a laidback ponytail completed her look.

While Cameron always goes for the party-girl look (usually in minis), Amy Adams prefers formal gowns like the strapless yellow Gucci dress (from the Spring 2013 collection) that she wore last night. The floor-length gown looked amazing as part of the bodice was scrunched to the waist with a diamond and gold waistband. It was absolutely stunning. She kept her accessories simple with just a cream clutch with gold studs and golden drop-style earrings. Her minimal makeup and side-swept hair with sexy curls cascaded down her shoulder, which was the perfect style for her.

For this battle of the yellow Gucci, we’re giving it to Amy Adams. How about you? Whose look did you love more?
