Florence Welch in custom-made Gucci gown

October 29, 2012 by Paulene

Florence Welch is always a delight to see on stage or on the red carpet, so when she attended the LACMA 2012 Art + Film Gala honoring Ed Ruscha and Stanley Kubrick in LA Saturday evening, we’re pretty sure she’ll be one of the best dressed of the night, besides Amber Heard, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Amy Adams and Ginnifer Goodwin, among others.

The singer wore a custom-made purple Gucci gown that featured a plunging v-neckline, sheer sleeves that run from the back of the neck down to her wrists, a straight floor-length skirt with a mini train and a matching purple belt with an embellished buckle. Unlike the flowing and loose gowns that she chooses on stage, this Gucci gown shows off her curves in all the right places.

Florence Welch, who performed with her band during the dinner, then accessorized with a whimsical Gucci clutch (from the Spring 2012 collection) that featured metallic mirror backing laminas with black crocodile trim, metal tassel, swarovski crystal detail, brass hardware and a detachable chain shoulder strap. Wearing a bunch of statement rings, Florence Welch finished off her look with yellow gold Gucci “Diamantissima” drop earrings.

As for her fiery red hair, Florence kept it in her style with a braided halo updo with bangs that was given a boost of royalty treatment thanks to her yellow gold chain headband.
