Lucy Liu took pieces from several designers as she attended the 2012 Women for Women International Gala held at the Koch Theater in Lincoln Center NYC Thursday evening.
The 43-year-old actress, who was honored with the ‘Champion of Peace’ Awards for her work as a UNICEF ambassador, wore a black Roland Mouret dress that featured a gorgeous origami neckline, a cut-out back and a floor-length hem. She arrived wearing a dramatic Roberto Cavalli cape (from the Fall/Winter 2012 Collection) with a structured shoulder and intricate feather design.
Underneath the dress, Lucy Liu wore a pair of nude leather Giuseppe Zanotti peep-toe platform pumps (from the Spring 2012 collection). She also accessorized with a sequin-embellished Roger Vivier “Pilgrim Palmettes” clutch (from the Fall/Winter 2012 Collection), a sparkling diamond-embellished Wilfredo Rosado cuff bracelet, and matching flower-shaped Wilfredo Rosado diamond stud earrings. Wearing her black hair in a low bun, Lucy finished off the look with a pink pout and smokey eyes.
We think the black dress and dramatic accessories worked well together without the cape, but if she really wanted to wear the cape, she should’ve left the cuff bracelet and embellished clutch at home. What do you think? Are you loving this ensemble? Sound off below…
