Kerry Washington joined her cast mates Samuel L. Jackson, Christoph Waltz, Franco Nero, Jamie Foxx, and Quentin Tarantino for the Rome photo call of their movie “Django Unchained” held at Italy’s Hassler Hotel earlier today.
The 35-year-old actress has always preferred safe short dresses with a hint of edge (whether as interesting prints, cutouts, textures), but this is the first time she chose a dress with a different silhouette than she’d previously worn.
For the day event in Rome, Kerry wore a blue and white printed Peter Pilotto dress (from the Spring 2013 collection) designed with a sleeveless wrapped bodice with a v-neckline and crisscross detail at the center and a cut-out on the waist. Her knee-length skirt (that also had the same printed design of the bodice) featured a thick navy blue waistband peeking out her tummy, an asymmetrical front ruffled flamenco-style detail, central slit, and a ruffled hemline in bright lime green with white leaf prints.
Kerry Washington paired the dress with navy Nicholas Kirkwood printed pumps and accessorized with a pair of rings from Solange Azagury-Partridge and Monique Péan. With her streaked black hair styled into a straight ‘do with bangs, Kerry finished off with blue, top-lined smokey eye makeup and glossy nude lips.
We love her hairstyle, makeup and outfit from the waist up, but we’re not a fan of the lime elements of her skirt. How about you? Do you love Kerry’s Peter Pilotto dress? Or not? Sound off below…
