During the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards held Sunday at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, many ladies like Zooey Deschanel, Miranda Kerr, Jennifer Garner, Claire Danes, Jennifer Lawrence, and Marion Cotillard dared to dress in red. Check out what gowns and dresses they wore to the red carpet.
First up is “New Girl” star Zooey Deschanel, who went with a strapless Oscar de la Renta silk taffeta ball gown (from the off-the-runway Pre-Fall 2013 collection) that was designed with a sweetheart structured bodice and a full, floor-length skirt. She kept her look classic with a pair of Casadei “6400” slingback platform pumps (from the Spring 2011 Red Carpet Collection), a sparkly Edie Parker “Edie Confetti” clutch and matching pearl necklace, bracelet and earrings (from Kwiat). Of course, Zooey showed her quirkiness through her film reel-designed nails.
At the event as Orlando Bloom’s guest, Miranda Kerr showed off her million-dollar legs in a burgundy Zuhair Murad chiffon gown (from the Fall 2012 collection) that featured a sexy v-neckline, draping around the waist that turns into a bow on one side of her hips, and a dangerously high side slit on her floor-length skirt. Miranda was able to rock the gown as always. She accessorized with a champagne-colored Ferragamo satin clutch and a pair of champagne Salvatore Ferragamo strappy sandals (From the Fall/Winter 2012 collection).
Jennifer Garner looked absolutely fabulous in a burgundy Vivienne Westwood Couture strapless gown designed with a sweetheart gathered bust, a detailed waist and tons of sequins all-throughout up to her mini train. Underneath the gown, Jen wore a pair of rich red satin Salvatore Ferragamo open-toe platform pumps (from the Red Carpet Collection) and accessorized with the Roger Vivier “Paint Box” clutch (from the Fall/Winter 2012 Collection) and David Webb jewelry.
Claire Danes, who gave birth only a month ago, looked amazing in a red custom-made Versace dress with a halter v-neckline, wrapped details around the waist, and a slinky floor-length skirt with mini train. Like Jen, Claire wore a pair of red satin Salvatore Ferragamo open-toe platform pumps (from the Red Carpet Collection) underneath her dress. She also accessorized with diamond Lorraine Schwartz earrings and a matching ring.
“Hunger Games” star Jennifer Lawrence, who beat Meryl Streep for the Best Actress award, wore a coral-colored Christian Dior organza evening dress (from the Fall 2012 Haute Couture collection) designed with a structured strapless bustier and accessorized with a thin metal belt. She played with more metallic accessories that included her Swarovski-embellished gold and suede Ferragamo clutch and a pair of diamond drop Chopard earrings. Underneath her gown, she wore a champagne-colored Brian Atwood, “Anais” sandals.
Best Actress nominee Marion Cotillard wore an orangey red Christian Dior Couture dress that featured an asymmetrical skirt, pleated details on the strapless bodice and a metallic belt, which gave a contrasting element to her ensemble. She paired it up with a pair of orange-gold Christian Dior pumps (from the Spring 2013 collection) and a leopard-print Christian Louboutin “Lavalliere” clutch with a black bow (from the Fall/Winter 2012 Collection).
