Jennifer Garner, Jennifer Aniston, Sally Field, Kerry Washington, Helen Hunt, Reese Witherspoon, Jane Fonda, and Jennifer Hudson all opted for colored gowns at the 2013 Oscars held Sunday. Check out what they wore to the red carpet…
First up is Jennifer Garner, who was there in support of her husband Ben Affleck. She wore a bespoke purple Gucci column gown designed with a simple front, but a back with layers of ruffles from the upper back to the rich train. She finished off her look with oldschool glamor – $2.5 million worth of Neil Lane jewelry that includes an intricate 200 carat necklace, a matching bracelet, earrings and ring. Jen then added a Roger Vivier “Boite de Nuit” clutch and finished off with Brian Atwood “Wagner” Pumps that matched the color of her gown.
Up next are the ladies in red – Jennifer Aniston and Sally Field.
Jennifer Aniston, who was a presenter at the awards show, wore a red Valentino strapless gown (from the Spring 2013 Couture Collection) that featured a classic silhouette with a ball-gown skirt completed with a long train. She accessorized her all-red gown with a matching red Salvatore Ferragamo “Edith” clutch (from the Spring/ Summer 2011 Collection) and added glitz to her ensemble with Fred Leighton bracelets and diamond earrings.
Sally Field went bold with a romantic red Valentino gown (from the Fall 2012 Couture Collection) that featured long sleeves and pleated skirt with layered hem and train. She completed her look with Jimmy Choo heels, the sparkling Judith Leiber “Princess” crystal clutch and Martin Katz jewelry.
Kerry Washington wore a custom coral/hot pink Miu Miu gown, which featured a strapless bodice embellished with silver beads and coral paillettes, a coral-colored dainty bow at the waist, and a solid-coral straight floor-length skirt with a long train. Underneath, the “Django Unchained” actress wore a pair of hot pink Christian Louboutin “Decollete 554” pumps (from the Fall/Winter 2012 Collection). Kerry then accessorized with a coral satin Prada box clutch, a Fred Leighton cocktail ring and Chopard earrings.
Helen Hunt donned a navy H&M satin gown that featured a strapless bodice, a column silhouette and a conservative train. According to RCFA, the actress chose the mass retailer in support of their global green initiative. Hunt didn’t skimp on accessories though – she wore $700,000 worth of Martin Katz jewelry that included a stunning necklace, a pair of bracelets and stud earrings. She finished the look with a black Swarovski clutch.
Reese Witherspoon was rocking the black and blue in a custom-made Louis Vuitton gown that featured a strapless bodice with black accents and a train. Underneath, she was wearing a pair of Christian Louboutin “Very Prive 120” peep-toe pumps. Reese added more glitz to her minimalist gown, sticking to Louis Vuitton for her jewelry as well. She wore the diamond Louis Vuitton “Monogram Infini” earrings, Louis Vuitton “L’Ame Du Voyage Jardin” ring and the Louis Vuitton “Dentelle D’Hiver” bracelet.
Jennifer Hudson sparkled in a slinky dark blue Roberto Cavalli Couture gown that featured lace long sleeves, strategically placed shimmery sequins, a thigh-high central slit and a floor-length hem. The singer also chose blue accessories, including a metallic blue pair of Giuseppe Zanotti snake-print pumps, a Jimmy Choo cylindrical clutch embellished with tons of blue beads, and a stunning pair of blue and green Sutra drop earrings.
Who could have missed Jane Fonda at the red carpet? The model/actress wore a bright yellow Atelier Versace long-sleeve gown designed with shoulder pads, long sleeves, a v-neckline, draping at the waist paired with gold embellishments, and a floor-length hem. She then finished off the look with a pair of gold Jimmy Choo peep-toes, and accessorized with a bejeweled gold Jimmy Choo clutch and Chopard dangling earrings.
