Carrie Preston stepped out to the Nokia Theatre LA Live for Sunday night’s 2013 Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards… and won her first Emmy in style.
The “True Blood” star, who took home the Emmy for ‘Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series’ for her role on The Good Wife, wore a dress made by Mako Takada. The sleeveless halterneck white bodice with a plunging v-neckline featured an open back and a black asymmetrical pleated detail on one side, which runs into a body-hugging floor-length skirt with white side panels.
Carrie Preston, who has worn several of Mako Takada’s custom-made creations and happily announced on Twitter about her clothes, also wore a complementing white cape worn over her shoulders. To show off the sexy open back of her dress, the cape was designed with a slit at the back.
The flame-haired actress finished off her look with black satin peep-toe platform pumps and added a statement necklace and stud earrings to complete her glamorous ensemble. A red pout, kohl-lined eyes and a curly updo sealed off her look.
